Above are the chicks out of Redshift and Mindwipe. The two oldest chicks hatched on the fifth of March, with the 3rd and 4th chicks hatching on the 8th and 9th. These guys (as of April 2nd/06) are currently being handfed.

Swindle is the cinnimon hen and Redshift is the grey cock. They're sitting on their eggs in this picture.

Here are Redshift (top) and Swindle (bottom) with their babies. Swindle is a very devoted mom and will sit on the eggs almost all day. However, she is very protected of her nest! Dad is an eating machine. He will stuff his face with anything and everything, then disappear into the nest ASAP. He's a hard working dad!

Here's an actual picture of the babies. Lupine (aka Fuzzbutt) is at the top and Spookie is at the bottom. When they were hatched, they were the size of your thumb between the tip of your thumb and the first joint. Baby cockatiels are TINY!

Birds require more attention than a dog, more cleaning than a child and make more noise than the neighbor who mows his lawn at 7 am!
