I told you I looked pretty normal :-D A bit pudgie, but still normal :-P
That's me with one of my birds. I used to wear a black velvet hat that billowed out on top, but it got attacked by a breeder's
kennel of Whippets (a small breed of race dog). They were sleeping with me and when I woke up, the lone male had decided it
was a cool chew toy! **Sighs** A fitting end to a very worn out hat :-D I **LOVE** whippets!
I adore it in Winnipeg! I love the small town feeling, but the big city benifits without the big city problems. I love
our winters, even though it gets colder than a freezer in the antarctic. In winter around christmas, the streets light up
with every shade of lightbulb you can imagine. We have a christmas light contest every year and the winners are posted on
the front page of our local newspaper a few weeks before christmas. I'll eventually get some pix taken and plop them on the
site ;-) .
I come from a family of 5. This doesn't include the 3 dogs and upteen fish us kids had while growing up. My sister and
I have since moved out, leaving my parents with my young brother and the third dog. I like to vist them, especially in the
summer when mom and dad are at the cabin. My dad's been putting a lot of work into the place and I must say..I **LOVE** their
new deck!
My parents have since cut down the older trees to make room for the expanded driveway. The old driveway was brick and
it was a hassle to fix every year, so my parents said enough is enough - a cement driveway was going in. I'll miss the old
trees, but I look foreward to seeing the fancy decorative grass my mom wants put in. She might even volunteer me to work in
her garden this year. yaaay!

The Picture above is of My dad and the family's third Whippet, Criket. She came to live with my parents in November of 1999
after the family's second dog, Joey, was put down. He was 12 and half and had cancer :-(.
Criket is the best guard god we've ever owned (NOT!). She's a mooch and will steal things off your plate as you're eating.
OY that peeves dad right off! While I'm there. I sneak her tidbits, but I have to make sude dad doesn't catch me **winks**
Criket was an official great granddam in Mid May, 2004.
A picture of Jojo, Criket's granddaughter.
JoJo's puppies! (Criket's great grandkids)
The breeder who bred Cricket had her as a show dog and after two years, he retired her. My parents took her in after Joey
died, under the condition that Dave (the breeder) get one more litter out of her. It took two years to finally time her heat
with a decent shipping date, blah blah blah. She went to California to meet a handsome stud and 2 moths later she had her
second litter. Criket is spayed now. Yep. Apparently she hasn't changed, despite what people say. She's the same hyperactive
dog (Whippets are VERY laid back! I swear!) who bounces off walls at the first sound of dinner being made !

This next pic is of my Grandparents and my mother at mom and dad's cabin. It's at a place in the middle of no-where called
White Mud Falls. I used to have gorgeous pictures of the landscape and farmland, but they were eaten when I had to wipe my
Hard Drive! **cries**
My only complaint is that the place is crawling with wasps. They're everwhere! The first 2-3 years were horrible because
there were three wasp nests within a 30 second walk from eachother. I don't know what my dad and his friend did to control
the pests, but they've not been as bad. Now watch me eat those words when I go out to the cabin this year.....

That's my sister, Chantelle, and Criket sometimes last year. Either that or early this year. I forgot to ask her when the
pic was taken. She's presently living downtown in an apartment that I could kill for **laughs**. The place is HUGE!!
My sister is very fond of Criket as the two seem to have a personality much like eachother. Both can be stubborn, lovable
and both have opinions which they gleefully share :-D !! **ducks as sister tries to smack her**
Chantelle suffers from Chronic Fatigue Syndrom. It started when she went in for hip surgury and apparently the stress
of both operations wiped her systerms bad. She's had the illness for 10 years and it's left her with a lot of problems. Most
of her 'friends' bolt when they see how ill she is and they don't understand that she can't go out and party all the time.
For her explanation on the illness, travel to:
Chantelle's Web Page....

This is a picture of My brother, Landon, and my sister, Chantelle, on their trip to Vancouver. That was in April or May of
last year. Apparently they're in a sushi bar :-D
My brother is a weird guy. Typical teen, whaddya expect !! **Giggles**. He's really into his Xbox and I must say, I look
like a fool when I am up against him. He and dad fight for time on the thing (My god..you should see the two of them go for
the controls!) and there's this one game- I think its called Medal of Honor- where they can play other folks via the internet.
My dad, a 50 year old, is fighting 15 year olds in Australia and kicking their sorry asses **Laughs**. God. I've played Halo
with dad and it's annoying when you accidently shooting him in the back. Or keep falling off cliffs. Or standing in the line
of fire **blushes**. It was the controller I was using. SERIOUSLY!!

This picture I'm very proud of. From left to right it's my Aunt Eden, Aunt Katie, Mom, Oma and My Uncle Vern. My Uncle Vern
wrote the Play Einstein's Gift, which won a whole Chit load of awards! It won the Govenor General Award for Playwrites in
2003. For more information on the play, please Check out my Livejournal Entry at:
